Holy shit. I’ve been using Pax and Storz & Bickel products for years. Recently I have been feeling like there could be something better. Man it’s here! DYNAVAP is really nice and quick and I’m stoned as fuck off one small bowl. Way higher than my other vapes have been getting me. Dayum! I would say don’t sleep on this one like I have been. I honestly didn’t think it was working at first but after a bit of a learning curve this thing hits like a champ!
Pictured is my Pax for size reference. My direct comparison to one over the other is the DYNAVAP has a third the size of bowl and hits 3 times harder 😁
Update; it’s difficult to find any good info online about which temp setting to use. Tried starting at 400 F. Too hot, believe it or not. Tried many temps. I found the best temp for flower is actually about 275, kept tasting burnt and turning black on higher settings so I tried 250 and that seemed to be too low. 275 is actually tasting good and holding some of the heat long enough to get some good puffs out of it before it cools off. Still learning how to use it but I’m high as fuck now. Experimenting is fun lol
Got another update; this thing is like shots. Gets you where you want to go fast. Doesn’t taste the best but very effective lol. Then you have the Pax that’s more like beers. Tastes alright, very good sometimes even, but not very strong. Sort of a low and slow. You could have 10 and be pretty messed up but the amount of time it would take to finish 10 Pax sessions would take forever. You would have to charge one device while using the other (I have 2) for them to last that long. If you had only one I don’t know if you could realistically do 10 in a day lol. But with the DYNAVAP you just have one little session and bam you are as high as if you did a few Pax Sessions.
Fast comparison to Plenty; the plenty is good for when you are chilling in one space. It’s a plug in vape. I’ll use it while cooking or playing video games with the wife. It’s great for passing around at parties as well. It does last quite a while and I don’t have to keep loading more when the bowl runs out lol. The Pax I’ll basically just puff on forever but the Plenty is more harsh since it runs off the hot air as well. The DYNAVAP is very harsh for a vape. I’d say it does what I always thought my other vapes should do though, effects wise.
The Mighty+ (mine is now dead RIP) was my go to vape but very similar to plenty. Battery life was never as good as Pax, Crafty was even worse before it crapped out as well. I’d say it runs better than Plenty and Pax but not the most dependable. Hit wise you would get more out of it than the Plenty though, even with the smaller bowl. Bigger isn’t always better. DYNAVAP is even smaller and more efficient lol. The mighty was also less discreet than the Pax so for out and about use the Pax will always be my favorite. The Crafty is also pretty stealthy in comparison to Mighty but had even worse battery life. DYNAVAP is shiny and you have this huge wand deal to heat it with so definitely not stealthy either lol
At this point I would say the DYNAVAP is great for when you are chilling and have nothing else you are doing with your hands. You need the attention and focus as you can burn 🔥 yourself. DYNAVAP is the perfect one hitter or backup to your more practical vape.
Pax is great for vaping while you are doing things with your hands but want to vape and you can just hold it in your mouth. It’s the best flavor for sure. For hiking, it’s easy to quickly stash in your pocket until you pass someone, then stir it and turn it back on. The DYNAVAP would burn you if you did that, so you will have to just hold it out of view and load new stuff when you can since the stuff in it would be wasted. Again not optimal for out and about use. The Mighty was like sucking on a cell phone lol.
The Plenty uses like one gram at a time so you can get quite the long session out of it. It is plug in only. So not great for out and about use either. It’s more of a sharing vape. Pax is also great for sharing. DYNAVAP is not good for sharing as you can burn each other passing it around. Bowl is also tiny, so one person one bowl is easiest.
My overall recommendation for your first vape would be to choose one from Storz & Bickel based on your needs. They are the easiest to use and have convection and conduction heating. My personal favorite is the Pax but it takes a while to learn how to use best. I purchased a 3d printed screen and vented lid for my Pax’s for them to run more optimally. As one who has used them since 2017, they could be designed better at this point. The DYNAVAP is perfect when you are rushed for time and have a few moments to be able to prepare it. DYNAVAP will be the perfect backup to my Pax’s or when I am rushed for time and still want to hit something real fast and have it actually be effective.
A quick update for optimal usage. The bowl they have is so tiny. It takes like .1 grams. Pax is .3 or something like that. I found if you load the small cap 1/4 of the way before placing over end, it seems to puff a little longer and taste is better. I’ll definitely be getting the larger DYNAVAP at some point but I’m still learning how to use this little guy
Have more here. Pax is still my go to, it’s the smoothest and best tasting vape. It does have its quirks but yeah
I will say one tip when heating the device. Don’t listen for the “click” to tell you when it’s hot enough. I simply count for 10 seconds and it will get it heated enough to vape a little and it actually tastes alright. Then heat it 10 seconds again, repeat this until done. I don’t know how anyone would use these without the wand heater, makes it so convenient. Basically if you wait for the click it’s already too hot. It toasts it more than vapes it at that point. You can also hold the wand to the DYNAVAP at the end to heat it while hitting and get the rest out of the material before reloading.
Update; I only run it on the lowest setting now which is 250. I’ll heat it for roughly 10-15 seconds before I start visibly seeing vapor escaping. Then I’ll take it off immediately. Puff a tiny bit out of it. It’s not quite hot enough for full puffs usually. Then heat for about 10 seconds longer and it runs really well from there.
If it’s cold and you heat it until the click, it’s definitely going to be roasted. Not quite burnt but definitely not smooth vapor like you are looking for. When it’s already warm the click is a good way to know when it’s cooled off. Again not a good indicator of warm enough, as it will probably be too hot. The click off works for easily knowing when it’s cool enough though.
plain directions;
double click ISPIRE wand
heat DYNAVAP 10ish seconds
suck it lol
heat 10 seconds longer now your ready
once it clicks off
heat 10 seconds or as needed from there
once finished, and cooled, clean unit with lid.
@Cannabro thanks for the info. I've got the Crafty+, which I love but it's also the only vaporizer I've used. Still combust plenty of material in pipes water pipes joints. I would like to get to vape only, or vape and ingest (thanks Bite Me podcast!). I think a second vaporizer, especially just a quick hitter while stepping out from the fam for a moment, would be nice. Like my favorite glass taster, but vape
@kiffer for sure man. It’s nice and quick. And on high enough settings is a great replacement for smoking. It’s when you dark roast it basically. Even tastes like smoking. Which I don’t enjoy lol. I stopped smoking when I was in my twenties after a particularly strong mushroom trip. All I do is vapes and tincture or edibles basically.
I used to have the Crafty+ but the heater fuse went out. Had a Mighty+ and dropped it in a cooler. Filled with ice water. Was drunk lol. I do have the Plenty though and I love it. It does last forever though, pros and cons to that /p>
My preferred Vape right now is the Pax Plus. Used to be Pax 3 but this is what they sent as a replacement recently. I don’t notice much difference honestly lol. Battery life isn’t as reliable either but that’s probably because it’s a replacement. Eventually I’ll purchase a new one when they upgrade the system. Or choose a new device altogether. Venty is strong consideration. For now Pax it is. DYNAVAP is the perfect backup or for when I feel I want something to hit me harder. Plenty is great for parties or like tonight when it’s just me and the wife. Kids are at sleepovers
One great thing about the ISPIRE wand is they make it so you can easily swap out the batteries. Something most companies are getting away from
My Dynavap is my back up kit, the “Armor cap” is nice, it’s thicker and holds heat longer. I find it to be a little bit more forgiving than the regular cap. my out and about kit is a crafty+, my HomeKit is a ball vape used with my bong (made by cannabis hardware).
Honor is simply the morality of superior men.
@sevans1965 hell yeah & I’ll have to check out that cap. Thanks for the tip
@sevans1965 I am really intrigued by the ball vape. I checked out their website and it looks cool, but a little confusing. Lol.
The smell of homegrown makes my lungs horny!
