Terppo’s MCT Infused Gummy Fish

High everyone, I decided to make some more fish gummies and wanted to share my process with you all. I use my Ardent Mini to decarboxylate 5 grams of ground cannabis flower. Then infuse the decarboxylated cannabis into 8 Tablespoons of MCT oil. I then mix half of the Levo gummy mix pack, 3 Tablespoons of water along with 3 Tablespoons of infused MCT oil in my Levo gummy mixer. Of course, there are other ways in which you can decarb your cannabis and different ways to infuse gummies, this is the way I do it with the equipment I have. 

Here is a list of equipment used:

1. Ardent Mini
2. Strainer
3. Funnel
4. Glass jar
5. Tablespoon
6. Levo gummy mixer
7. Levo gummy mix
8. Water
9. Squeeze bottle
10. Gummy molds
11. Scale
12. Plastic cup
13. MCT oil

Step 1. Decarboxylation

Weigh out and grind 5 grams of cannabis flower. Pour the ground flower into the ardent mini silicone insert sleeve. Now place the filled insert into the Ardent mini and start the machine on setting A1. (Approximately 90 minutes)

Step 2. Infusing MCT Oil 

When cycle one is complete, use the Tablespoon to measure out 8 TBS MCT oil and pour it into the sleeve over top of your ground decarboxylated cannabis. Press the mode button on your Ardent and select the infuse setting then press start. (Approximately 90 minutes)

Note: If you are looking for a way to infuse your oil with your newly decarboxylated cannabis learn how to use a slow cooker here. (I do not use Lecithin. I do not think you need to with MCT oil. Other than that, follow the directions in the link.)

Step 3. Straining Infused Oil

Now that the infusion cycle is complete use the Ardent Frainer to separate the plant material from your infused MCT oil and catch in the glass jar. Set the Oil aside to be used later. 

Step 4. Mixing Gummy's

I make a half batch at a time. The reason being is it is easiest to work with the gummy mix while still hot. I am about half as fast as I once was so half batch it is, here is how I do it. 

• Set an empty plastic cup on the digital scale. Pour the entire contents into the cup note the weight and then put half back into the bag for next time.
• Pour the mix that's still in the cup directly into the Levo gummy mixer add 3 TBS water, stir, place cover back on and run the first cycle. (Approximately 14 minutes)
• When the first cycle is complete add 3 TBS of infused MCT oil.
• Hold the power button for 3 seconds to run the 2nd cycle the light will turn gold and cycle will last 3 minutes. I run this cycle a few times. You really want the mct oil to be incorporated into the mix.

Note: If you do not have a device to heat and stir the gummy mix in follow the directions below.

1. In a small saucepan combine half the gummy mix and 3 TBS of water.
2. Mix well and bring the water gummy mixture to a boil.
3. Continue to stir the mixture while maintaining a boil for 4 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and mix in 3TBS of infused MCT oil.
5. Whisk/mix oil until nicely incorporated together. 5-10 minutes.
6. Pour Mix into squeeze bottle then into molds or directly into molds.

Step 5. Pouring liquid gummy mix

It is important to note that the molds and the squeeze bottle should be set up and ready prior to the last step as the more the mix cools the harder it is to work with.

• When the 2nd cycle is finished pour your gummy mix directly into the squeeze bottle. (CAUTION VERY HOT)

• Replace the cap and fill the molds being careful not to over or under fill.

Step 6. Cooling

• Place filled molds in the refrigerator or set aside to cool 6-8 hours. (Be sure to keep them level, I put mine on a shelf in the mini refrigerator overnight)
• Pull the individual gummies from the mold. I put 5 gummies in each sealable bag and store in the refrigerator. That way I can grab a pack for on the go. 

Notes:  

I have used up to 5 TBS infused MCT oil with this recipe. It gave the gummies a slimy texture and they melted at much lower temperature.

Be sure to squeeze out the cannabis while straining oil.

Working with the gummy mix while still HOT is much easier.

You can coat them in sugar, sour powder, cinnamon, etc. but I prefer them without. Enjoy
